How to read a Certificate of Analysis

Batch number: matches the number printed on your product.

Potency or assay: how much of the key ingredient the lab found, compared with the label.

Heavy metals: lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium. "Not detected" means below the lab's detection limit.

Microbial tests: checks for bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella.

Lab name and date: who ran the tests and when.

Every product has to meet five requirements before it carries our name: identity (the ingredients are what the label says), potency (the amounts match the label), purity (tested for heavy metals and microbial contamination), honest claims (we only say what the evidence supports) and published proof (every batch report is public).
